CFBISD students explore post-secondary opportunities at College Night

Hundreds of Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD students and families gathered at Newman Smith High School on Monday, Sept. 8, for the district's annual College Night. The annual event offers high schoolers a unique opportunity to connect with representatives from colleges, trade schools and military branches from across the country.

Hosted by the district's College, Career and Military Readiness (CCMR) Department, College Night is designed to help students explore potential post-secondary pathways. Attendees were able to speak directly with admission counselors and recruiters, gathering information about academic programs, campus life, financial aid and application processes.

This year, CFB’s Advanced Academic Services Department partnered with College Night to host an Advanced Learner Information Meeting during the event. The session provided parents with more information about the district's advanced academic programs, including opportunities for gifted and talented students and resources to support their child's academic growth.
