Meet the New Assistant Principal

Amy Bridges

Amy Bridges

My leadership is rooted in building strong relationships, serving others, and helping every student reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment. Being the first in my family to graduate from college, I view education as both a personal milestone and a lifelong mission.

I began my career in 2000 as a science teacher and joined CFBISD in 2002. For 16 years, I taught at Newman Smith High School, working with incredible students, staff, and administrators. Since 2003, I’ve also served as an adjunct professor in biological sciences at Dallas College, giving me valuable experience in both secondary and higher education.

In 2016, I became an assistant principal at R. L. Turner High School, a role I held for six years. I returned to Newman Smith for one year as associate principal, gaining further leadership experience. Most recently, I served as principal at Blair Elementary, where I had the honor of seeing the school earn the 2024 National Blue Ribbon Award.

I am looking forward to my new role as associate principal at Early College High School, where I’m excited to support students as they pursue their higher academic goals.
